Guess what? I can now have dual citizenship with Canada. On April 17, without my knowledge, I woke up Canadian . They changed the rules, and my dad is a Canadian by birth and so now I get all the benefits of being a Canuck. I have to complete some simple paperwork, and then… hello easy border crossing! I'm not sure what other benefits there might be involved with this. But if there's ever a draft again in the US, no problem! I'll just go north and claim my rightful place with my Canadian kinfolk.
